"Summertime" is an aria composed by George Gershwin for the 1935 opera Porgy and Bess. The lyrics are by DuBose Heyward, the author of the novel Porgy on which the opera was based, although the song is also co-credited to Ira Gershwin. The song is recognized as one of the most covered songs in the history of recorded music, with more than 33,000 covers by groups and solo performers.

Greetings fellow MMX® musicians. We are CLOSED during the summer. That is from the last meeting in June until the first meeting in September.  In 2014, that meant, June 20th to September 20th.

During these THREE Months, all members are supposed to be dedicating themselves to New and old bands alike - but hey, screw that, it's SUMMER :-) 

A few have toured, some have and will play street festivals, a few summer garage jams have taken place and we even have one member catching up with a summer session at Concordia. Best wishes to everyone and we'll "See you in September."

NOTE: A special audition is taking place on August 22nd. We are looking for a few metal heads and also a Jimmy Page clone for an upcoming Zep Tribute band.
